Peridontal Diseases
Periodontal diseases can easily occur without proper dental hygiene.
Any type of periodontal disease is VERY serious, and if you let these mouth problems go, will cause bacterial infections that are lasting and will tear away at bones that are supportive to your teeth. One tooth or several teeth may be affected. The basic four types of dental diseases are: Gingivitis is where your gums will become swollen and you will notice bleeding. It won't cause pain or discomfort with this disorder. It is usually brought on by not caring for your teeth enough. By going for regular dental check-ups, you can easily resolve this dental issue. Periodonitis If you have gingivitis, and basically ignore the bleeding that goes along with it, the plaque you already have will continue spreading and get into your gum lines. Since bacteria produces toxins, these toxins are what gets into the gums. Toxins encourage a response that is chronic in nature and inflammatory. This will create problems for the teeth, to become ruined and thus destroyed. When you see gums that are beginning to separate from your teeth, this means pockets formation. These become full of infections. Teeth then will loosen up, and need removal. Periodonitis is in a lot of different forms. Some of the most heard about are: Chronic Periodonitis This is from the process of inflammation taking place. Pocket formations happen here, and bones begin to break down under the teeth. Progression can either be really quick, or else slower. Aggressive Periodonitis The most common of symptoms are tooth attachment losses, andd the bones destructing under the teeth that make the teeth all loose. Periodonitis is defined as the dental disease that occurs at a younger age. If the person has
diabetes
or other problems within the body, this is where the tooth destruction can really begin. Necrotizing periodontal disease is brought on by necrosis of gingival tissues. This actually starts out as an infection. Persons that have internal conditions such as HIV virus, are undernourished, or have many immune system problems may have this condition. Prevention and Good Dental Care For good preventive dental practices you should: Brush teeth daily three times Use a mouthwash that reduces plaque Floss daily though it is a hassle. Flossing carries away plaque. Get your own plaque scraper like they use in the dentist office. This really prevents build-up between teeth of plaque. Have regular dental check-ups.
