Fibromyalgia is Difficult to Live With

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a little over 2 years ago. I also have Ankylosing Spondylitis which inself is a very painful disease. However, the day to day turmoils that I face are much worse with the Fibro than the AS. when I am having a major flare with the Fibro, it is not uncommon for me not to get out of bed for 2 or 3 days. I have not found any relief from the medications that are now being prescribed for this. None of the muscle relaxers or Lyrica and Cymbalta have worked for me because of the side effects. I normally start and end my day with a thirty minute hot bath. This, along with taking Vicodin daily seems to be of the most help. I have come to know when a bad spell is coming because I occasionally have a day or two when I feel pretty good. When this happens. I do everything that I know needs to be done for the next couple of days. I then am able to take it easy and sleep when I need to on the really bad days.
